Walks take place on the first Wednesday of every month. We move off at 10.00 am and cover about 4 miles so expect to end no later than 12.15 pm.
Location: Postcodes are imprecise and cover quite large areas. Grid references are better but “what3words” is better still as it gives a location to within 10 metres. The best way to see where is meant using any of these systems, latitude and longitude too, is: https://gridreferencefinder.com/
When the walk leader sends out his/her notice of the walk, he/she will ask those intending to come to say so by email; he/she will also provide their phone number.
Those who have said they will walk but who change their minds are asked, please to notify the leader BY PHONE no later than 8.30am on the day of the walk.
All walks are used to be based on pubs and we used to plan to have lunch there afterwards. Clearly, at present we can’t do that. We hope eventually to return to this modus operandi.
Friends are welcome to join us. We have members of the Woodbridge (and sometimes the Ladies’) Probus Clubs walking with us every month.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome too; at the discretion of the walk leader they may be let off their leads.
Walkers are advised to wear boots.
If you have a pub you would like to recommend or a walk you would like to try, please tell either Jeremy Quinlan (JeremyQ@tiscali.co.uk; 01473 737700).
If you would like to lead a walk - perhaps one from a pub you like or in a good area - we would be very grateful indeed.
The 2021/22 programme is as follows:
